How Rosatom runs its “[In]Visible Power” women’s leadership program in a mobile format
The effectiveness and completion rate of training programs depend on how convenient the format is for participants. The easier it is for participants to fit learning into their daily routine, the better the results. That’s the approach the Rosatom Corporate Academy takes to program design, choosing Talent Rocks for its women’s leadership programs.
Client
Rosatom’s Corporate Academy trains and develops the potential of employees of the state corporation at every level, from interns
to top management. The Academy has a staff of more than 270 and a portfolio of over 300 educational programs. These include leadership and business skills development, management training, development of corporate functions, training of blue-collar and engineering staff, and more.
Rosatom’s leadership development program for women professionals, “[In]Visible Power,” has been running since 2023 and helps women develop personal and leadership competencies.
Starting with 40 participants, the program grew to 1500 participants in three years. The new scale called for new approaches to packaging content and a modern digital platform.
Challenge
After studying their audience and its needs, the organizers realized that women managers have almost no time for learning during the workday. And after work, they take care of children and household chores. Women learn either on the go or in the evening, alongside their home routine.
In both cases, they don’t have access to corporate resources, so the smartphone becomes their main learning tool.
The program launched in Telegram, but as it scaled, it became clear that a messenger is not the most convenient platform.
So there was a need for a platform that met the following requirements:
- Support for both mobile learning on a smartphone and a web version of the platform for desktop use
- Support for various content formats on the platform,
above all audio and podcasts - Assignments with review and feedback
- Learning tracks and an events calendar with push notifications
- Analytics on learners and program completion
Learning content also had to be available anytime, anywhere.
Like many women, our employees work three shifts: on top of their main job and caring for their families, they have plenty of other things to handle. As a result, they have almost no time left for themselves or for learning. That’s why a mobile format and podcasts they can listen to while doing other things turned out to be the best fit.
Solution
A digital hub and a mobile app were built on the Talent Rocks platform to run the program.
The program lasts 16 weeks. All participants follow a single 12-step learning path.
Weekly podcasts are at the core of the learning track. Each podcast comes with a text transcript and a mandatory homework assignment.
Assignments are set by program coordinators. For example, it may be a short essay about the people who make up the participant’s support group. Assignments can be completed on a smartphone and submitted for review via the app or the web platform. Participants have one week to complete each assignment.
The app and the platform also have a calendar showing webinars, group calls and masterminds.
One of the most popular features turned out to be notifications sent to participants’ smartphones
(push notifications) and email. This makes it much harder to miss news
and reminders.
Moving the program to a dedicated platform made life easier for both organizers and participants, since all the content they need is now in one place. The app also became an assistant that reminds participants about events and new learning modules.
Summary
New participants join “[In]Visible Power” every month and start their training. That’s why the Academy plans to keep using the platform and adopt new features as they appear in Talent Rocks.
