How Atletik reduced turnover and boosted engagement with Talent Rocks
When a team grows and new locations open in new cities, it’s especially important to maintain shared standards, engagement and a sense of unity. Fitness chain Atletik rolled out the Talent Rocks corporate app and brought together training, communications and gamification.
In the very first year after rollout, staff turnover dropped by 45% and engagement grew by 50%. Training has become part of the corporate culture: employees actively take courses, track their results and compete in leaderboards.
Client
Atletik is a fitness club chain that has been on the market since 2011. Today it runs fourteen clubs in four cities with about 150 employees in total. The team includes club managers, sales managers, service managers and front desk administrators. The company is growing steadily, opening new locations and maintaining consistent service quality standards.
Challenge
The Atletik team wanted to reduce turnover and increase employee engagement with modern training and communication tools. Previously, all information materials were stored in different sources, and corporate gamification existed separately from training. They needed to:
- bring training, news and corporate materials together on one platform;
- make new hire onboarding clear and accessible to everyone;
- engage employees through gamification and an achievement system;
- give managers tools to analyze engagement and team development.
When we first introduced the app, employees were wary — they didn’t understand why it was needed. But a couple of months later, everything changed: Talent Rocks has become an indispensable tool, and we can’t imagine working without it." — Alena Demidova, HR Director, Atletik
Solution
Atletik rolled out the Talent Rocks mobile app, which became the hub for training and internal communications.
In the app:
- training follows learning paths with tests and assignments;
- there’s a single knowledge base with videos, podcasts and documents;
- there’s a leaderboard system and an internal currency — “atletiks”;
- managers use dashboards to track employee progress and participation.
We even joke that Talent Rocks is our base in a pocket. Everything is at hand: training, materials, leaderboards, corporate currency. If someone accidentally deletes the app, they message us right away: “Send me the link, I need to log in urgently!”
Gamification
To boost engagement, the platform has a non-monetary rewards system. Employees automatically earn points for activity: completing courses, joining webinars and finishing assignments.
70% of users actively earn points and take part in the leaderboard. At the end of the year, the employees with the most points receive nice prizes and recognition from their colleagues.
Results
- Staff turnover dropped from 22% to 12–13% in a year.
- Engagement grew from 42% to 65%.
- All training now runs through the app, which has simplified oversight and improved discipline.
- Gamification has strengthened the team: employees actively compete in leaderboards and collect atletiks for achievements, birthdays and work anniversaries.
Summary
Talent Rocks helped Atletik bring training, motivation and corporate communications together in a single space. The app has become part of employees’ everyday work and a tool for retaining the team.

EdTech methodologist, Talent Rocks“With Atletik, we went straight into a full-scale project without a trial stage. After standard training on the platform, the client adapted the content to our tools on their own and developed the training structure. The team only reached out with occasional questions about features.
Atletik actively uses the platform’s key capabilities — learning paths, tests, leaderboards, internal currency and the manager dashboard. For our part, we continue to provide support and share updates and new platform features. This level of client engagement shows how thoughtfully and systematically the company approaches developing training and corporate culture.”
