How RESO-Garantia turns agent candidates into professional insurance representatives
Training new hires is about more than passing on professional knowledge. It’s important for the company to show future colleagues that they’re welcome on the team.
This is made possible by a friendly learning process, a supportive community and the ability to get an answer to any question in one click. RESO-Garantia achieves this with Talent Rocks.
Client
RESO-Garantia insurance company was founded in 1991. The company consistently ranks at the top of industry ratings and is one of the five largest insurers in Russia. RESO-Garantia’s federal network is the largest in the country, with more than 40,000 insurance agents and employees and 1200 branches and sales offices.
Every month, RESO-Garantia hires up to 200 trainees, some of whom become insurance agents after training.
Challenge
To become an insurance agent, a new hire must complete training and pass a test. The program covers essential product knowledge, sales fundamentals and a brief company overview. The learning content is highly varied: texts, webinars and video lessons.
Both new and experienced agents are mobile workers: they don’t sit in offices but are constantly on the move. The company also noticed that the average age of people who want to learn the insurance profession and join the corporate RESO School is going down. Today, a significant share of them are young people aged 19–25.
This shaped the main requirements for the learning platform:
- Mobility. The entire learning process must work on a smartphone. Prospective agents need a convenient way to learn that doesn’t tie them to a computer or laptop.
- Flexibility and personalization. Future insurance agents may currently work at other companies or study at universities, so they need to be able to choose when to learn.
- Protection of content against copying and leaks. HR must know exactly who has access to the content and be able to create and upload user lists on their own.
- Internal social network. The company puts a lot of effort into supporting people taking their first steps in insurance so they don’t feel left on their own. They should always feel cared for by the company and build connections within their group.

RESO-Garantia
It’s important to us that learning is not only convenient but also modern — in other words, done on a smartphone.
We also want to shorten the time between training and the first deal. When people see success in a field that’s new to them, they’re more likely to stay in the profession.
Solution
Two programs were built on the Talent Rocks platform: a trainee program for future insurance agents and an onboarding program for those who have already signed a contract with RESO-Garantia and are taking their first steps in insurance.
Each user group gets its own learning content tailored to its training goals.
The trainee program lasts one week, with two additional weeks to prepare for and pass the final test. The onboarding program has no time limit and focuses on support during the first months on the job.
Platform features:
- Microlearning module. The company has complex insurance products whose details agents need to understand. Courses include interim quizzes for self-assessment.
- Webinars and video archive. Webinars with company experts can be watched live or on demand. Instructional designers edit long recordings into short clips and upload them to the system.
- Schedule building. The training program is clear and sequential, but trainees can manage their own schedule — for example, sign up for a webinar at a convenient time. Once they register, the webinar and all the materials they need appear in their schedule.
- Notifications. In-app push notifications keep users promptly informed about everything important and remind them of the next step in their traineeship.
- Group chat. Building a friendly community became one of the most important parts of training. In a private chat, employees introduce themselves, share successes and setbacks and ask for advice. Trainees can turn to more experienced colleagues or mentors who help them handle a client situation, prepare for a meeting or work through a tricky case.

RESO-Garantia
In 4 months, we received a lot of near-enthusiastic feedback from platform users. They appreciated constant access to the training program, the ability to build their own schedule and the community that forms during training.
Summary
RESO-Garantia gained a convenient, secure mobile platform for training and developing new agents. Thanks to the program content, future insurance agents not only learn the profession but also immerse themselves in the company’s corporate culture.
An easy entry into the profession and community support shorten the time from first contact with the company to the first independent sale, while the company’s care increases the loyalty of new team members.
