The Russian Presidential Academy of National Economy and Public Administration (RANEPA) is the largest university in Russia and Europe. RANEPA offers more than 4,000 educational programs, taken by more than 230,000 people every year.

The RANEPA Graduate School of Public Administration was founded in 2013 as the first institute of the Presidential Academy. It provides training, retraining and professional development for public administration leaders and builds and develops talent pools at every level.

The Graduate School develops innovative HR technologies, systems and methods for diagnosing, assessing and developing leaders’ professional potential. It also provides expert, analytical and information support to federal, regional and local government bodies.

Challenge

Since 2018, the Center for Senior Executive Programs has run the Executive Master in Public Management program. The program consists of 6 modules held in person, with online activities between modules.

To make learning convenient, the Center needed a digital hub for the program that would serve several purposes:

  • Sharing the class schedule with classroom locations and speaker bios
  • Instantly notifying participants of all important logistics
  • Quick access to learning and supporting materials

Our learners are seasoned professionals: civil servants, representatives of federal and regional authorities, the social sector and education, and business leaders. It’s important for us to stay in constant contact with them and maintain high training standards. All program information is available to participants in the mobile app. Even after the program ends, graduates keep access to materials, contacts and useful links.

Solution

The Center for Senior Executive Programs built a mobile app on the Talent Rocks platform, which became the program’s digital hub.

  • In the app, participants always see the up-to-date schedule of learning modules.
  • Right after each in-person module, program coordinators upload expert presentations and additional self-study materials to the platform.
  • All learning materials are stored in a structured catalog, so they’re easy to find and use later.
  • Push notifications keep participants promptly informed about program changes and other important news.
  • The participant directory and chats help people find useful contacts and build connections. Each participant decides what personal information to share with others.
  • A simple, intuitive admin panel speeds up the Center staff’s work and helps them keep up the pace.

The platform’s main value for us is convenience. We can publish information quickly, and participants see it instantly. For example, we can upload materials right after a speaker’s talk and send a push notification to participants’ smartphones. Learners, in turn, find it easy to ask questions and hold discussions in the app.

Summary

The Center for Senior Executive Programs now has a reliable platform to support the learning process and collect feedback. This lets the team spend more time on the learning itself and its quality.

Following this successful rollout, the Center has extended Talent Rocks to its other programs.
